LF and DC adjustments are an essential step that should be carried out when connecting a probe to an oscilloscope for the first time.
This adjustment should ideally be carried out under the actual operating voltages at which the probe will later be used. Thanks to short rise and fall times and low overshoot, even fast high-voltage dividers can be evaluated, adjusted and calibrated. Our calibration generators are the optimal tool for these adjustments at real voltage levels.
The calibration generators for high-voltage probes KHT1000D and KHT6000D are used for precisely these LF and DC adjustments of high-voltage probes and dividers. The KHT6000C model is specifically only suitable for LF adjustments, i.e. not for DC adjustments.
In addition to manual operation using the controls on the front of the device, the calibration generators can also be operated using the optional 2m cable remote-control unit.
Alternatively, the calibrator can be remote controlled via USB and optionally GPIB using the PC. In remote operation, the square wave voltage, pulse width, repetition frequency (single pulses possible) and the DC output voltage can be set.
All of our KHT models can also be optionally equipped with an interlock control cable (2 m) for connection to a closing contact (protective cover). The connection to the device is made using a LEMO push-pull connector on the back of the device.
Pulses and pulse shapes of the KHT1000D and KHT2000C series
The calibrators of the KHT1000D and KHT2000C series generate direct voltages and steep-edged, positive and negative square wave voltages up to ±1000 or ±2200V. The smallest adjustable amplitudes or DC voltages for the KHT1000D are 50V. The smallest adjustable amplitudes or DC voltages for the KHT2000C are 200V.
A positive or negative output voltage is optionally output at the output, so that both polarities can be tested without changing the probe. The edge steepness is identical for falling and rising edges. The output voltage, which can be switched between four ranges, is displayed digitally.
Pulses and pulse shapes of the KHT6000 series
The KHT6000C generates positive, steep-edged output voltages up to 6000V.
The KHT6000D also generates DC voltages and steep-edged, positive voltage signals up to 6000 V.
The output voltages of all KHT calibration generators are fully calibrated and meet the requirements of ISO 9000 ff for seamless test equipment monitoring.
